#MeBeforeYou … #TheMovie

I read the book last May and since then I wanted to see the movie. I wanted to see it at the cinema but I couldn’t. It’s ok! I enjoyed it so much right now, alone in my living room, just me and the movie. You can find the book review here #bookreview…Me Before You: A Novel Paperback – by Jojo Moyes .

The book made me laugh and made me sad. But the movie…the movie is incredible.

Me Before You is a 2016 American-British[2] romantic drama film directed by Thea Sharrock and adapted byJojo Moyes from her 2012 novel of the same name. The film stars Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin, Jenna Coleman, Charles Dance, Matthew Lewis, Ben Lloyd-Hughes and Janet McTeer. (from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Me_Before_You_(film)).

There are so many things that I have to say about this movie. I didn’t cry but I laughed, it gave me chills, made me sad! That does not mean that it didn’t have an impact on me. As a matter of fact it hit me so bad that I had to stare at nothing for about 5 minutes and ask myself some questions: If all of the sudden, from being a healthy, active person, you must live your life paralyzed, what would you do? Would you accept that this is your new life style and try to adapt? Would you wish to die? Would you think about those who love you? Would you die like Will did if you could?

Would I? … I don’t know! The most important question is: Do you live your life fully right now? I don’t!

Will and Louisa met in not so happy circumstances. Louisa tried to make Will happy again and she did. For the time they spent together, 6 months, he was happy. But it was not enough to make him want to live. Was he selfish? Who are we to judge? We cannot know what would we do unless we would be in his situation!

Beautiful is not enough to describe this movie…this is about life and like Will wrote in his last letter to Louisa: Just live well…Just live…

Thanks for reading! Here is the trailer of this movie. If you have not seen it yet, I highly recommend it! 🙂

Can I add that the music choice for this movie is absolutely brilliant?! Beautiful!

#Twilight…The Movie

What do you do when you are spending your Sunday being sick? You watch a movie eating soup. It happened that they were passing Twilight on TV, and even though I already watched it a few times, I can’t say no to this movie.

I must say that the first movie of this series is bad. As in really bad! I am watching these actors Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) and I ask myself What in the world are they doing? I must admit though that in the movies after, they did improve. It is probably because they were not used to acting, but boy ohhh boy how bad did they act.

Twilight is the first book from the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, which I absolutely loved. Bella, is a normal girl with a normal life that moves with her father to give her mother some space with her new husband. She meets Edward, and even though he tries to stay away from her (he is a vampire) there is something that drags him to her. And this is how their love story.

If you have teenager girls in your family, chances are that you already know about this movie and about the books as well. If by any chance you don’t, please, just please don’t judge the story by the first movie. The books are so much better!

#Movie Review – Brave

How many movies can you see over and over again? How many Disney movies do you watch with your kids but you enjoy them more than they do?! 🙂 I just saw Brave for (probably) the 6th time and I am sure that I will see it again. As you probably know by now, I have twin boys, but who says that princess movies can be seen by girls only? I am definitely not that type of parent. 🙂

Brave is a 2012 American 3D computer-animated fantasycomedy film produced by Pixar and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It was directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and co-directed bySteve Purcell. The story is by Chapman, with the screenplay by Andrews, Purcell, Chapman and Irene Mecchi.

Brave is exciting from the beginning to the end. I was drained into the story from the first time that I saw it. The characters, the music, and the bravery of Merida just made me stay there, in front of the TV and wonder every second what is next. And even now, after the 6th time of watching it, I still have the same reactions. Merida is not like any other princess and this is what I like about her. She does not live her life to marry the charming prince . On the contrary she has no intention to marry as she wants to live her life and enjoy her freedom as much as she can. Now, we can’t really blame her as the three princes are a bit scary looking 🙂 , but she does not want to listen to her mother and she prefers to break the traditions if that means she will be happy. It was about time for a princess like that, for a princess that has more dreams than marry and have kids. I find that Merida is a role model for all young children, but especially for young girls.

I am sure that most of you (parents) saw this movie. However, if it happens that you were just around while your kid was watching it, but you didn’t really payed attention, I strongly recommend that you play it again just for you. Lately the movies for kids are not just for kids anymore, they are films for families and it is really exciting that parents can enjoy the story as much as the children. So yes, Brave is a 5 stars movie on my list. Go and watch it as it is worth it!

Thanks for reading lovelies…and…be brave! 🙂
